I am honored to lead the PMSA College as it’s Principal. The College is the dream project of Late Haji. E.M. Abdul Salam which has come into a reality with the formation of the College on 23rd Sep 2003 with a motto “Excellence in Action”.

Service to the society, I believe, is through empowering the student community of the PMSA College, which is around 450 in all modes of education.

The students of the PMSA College are provided with all amenities for carrying out their activities more efficiently. Focus will be on Self Help Group and Entrepreneurship Program so as to make the education meaningful and purposeful for the students’ community hailing from Kollam and Thiruvananthapuam Districts.

The Faculty Members of the PMSA College are given training on Soft Skill Programes by the Skill Development Centre and training on Spoken English through the Dept. of English. The trained teachers will act as anchors and multipliers in their respective Departments.

Access to Information Communication Technology by students will be enhanced which will result on high level of employment. All these efforts are made to enhance the quality of academic ambience and to improve the Gross Enrollment Ratio in these two districts. This will provide affordable and equitable opportunities to the unprivileged and the first generation learners.

As the Principal of the PMSA College, I assure a transparent administration which will support the academic, research, consultancy and extension activities of the College. The synergistic and orchestrated efforts will benefit all stakeholders viz. the students, the teachers, the administrative staff and the society. All these efforts, I am confident, will result in the PMSA College gaining the status of “College with Potential for Excellence” in a short span of time.

Best wishes.
Dr. M S Shibi Chandradas
Principal
